As the light in the day becomes shorter, I found myself immersed in a period of darkness that extended beyond the physical realm. I spent most of September and the better part of October battling various illnesses and feeling incapacitated in ways that were unfamiliar to me. It was during this time that I was forced to slow down to a complete stop, in stark contrast to my usual way of interacting with life.

In the midst of my struggles, I had a profound realization about the fragility, finiteness, and preciousness of the body, distinct from the enduring nature of the spirit within. This newfound awareness shifted my perspective on pushing through challenges and instead taught me the value of patience and waiting for the right moment to act.

As I navigated this period of introspection and healing, I began delving deeper into my inner reserves of strength and resilience. I discovered a wellspring of light within me that served as a guiding beacon through the darkness. It was a reminder that true strength comes from within, illuminating the path to recovery and renewal.

Now, as I embark on the road to recovery, I find solace in reaching for the light emanating from a simple candle. Its gentle glow serves as a poignant reminder of the source of my strength and resilience—the light that resides deep within my being. With each flicker of the flame, I am reminded of the power of inner light to illuminate even the darkest of times and guide me towards healing and wholeness.

In embracing the light within, I have come to appreciate the beauty of stillness, the wisdom of patience, and the transformative power of self-discovery. This journey of healing and reflection has not only brought me closer to understanding the intricate interplay between body and spirit but has also illuminated the path towards a deeper sense of self-awareness and inner peace.

Wishing you wellbeing,
Maxine
