Hushed silence as you venture under massive beamed ceilings where well-worn bookshelves hold row upon row of leather-bound antique calligraphed books, every now and then you notice an accent an old, almost long forgotten trade of book making and record keeping - an antique dip pen, unstretched pieces of leather, gold foil, ink pots. This is a place where documents and books were created, drafted and where calligraphers laboured to put thoughts and ideas and plans into words.

Inspired by the Biblioteca Malatestiana Moderna in Cesena, Italy, N°3 is a richly scented candle. Dark honey and tobacco mixes with the hint of beeswax in our tribute to this iconic library.

Bold and complex - opens with top notes of leather, tobacco, amber and musk. Once lit for a while you catch hints of a spicy mixture of black tea and pepper. The final notes are aged teak wood with undertones of patchouli and sandalwood.

I was introduced to PHOEHN a while back by my dearest friend and I was very curious about it specially because of the story that lead to the creation of this magnificent scent and brand.

I have to say that I've never had a scent so beautiful like Sandalwood & Black Peppers! It is settle and gentle just like a evening sunset but also elegant and exquisite like a vintaged wine!
It is very noticeable the quality of the ingredient and also the love and care put into the manufactured of it all.
The scent prolongs for a very long time with soft-light-sweet notes even after the candle is off.
